(Lewiston, NY) It's hard to believe that the Blue Mondays concert series is almost over.... but it is. On Monday, August 25th, 7:00PM at the Hennepin Park Gazebo (corner of 4th & Center St., Lewiston), Lewiston Council on the Arts and the Blues Society of WNY will present Doubletake Blues Band, a powerhouse rockin' blues band, with an authentic roadhouse sound. Offering a strong, danceable set list, they are a definite crowd pleaser. With a mix of both contemporary and traditional blues music, there's something for all blues lovers to enjoy. With many years of performance experience under their belts, the musicians that comprise Doubletake know what it takes to deliver a night to remember. So if you want a night of authentic "juke joint blues" that will start your toes a-tappin', Doubletake will give it to you!
The Double Take Blues Band placed second in the Upstate New York Songwriting Contest in the R&B division with one of their original songs, Kitchen Cupboard. The contest was sponsored by Blackdog Media Group in Rochester. There were entries from as far away as Portugal, and Hong Kong.
