Here's some thing happening this weekend:

Elmwood Festival of the Arts
Sat. Aug 23 10-5, Sunday 8/24 11-5. Elmwood Avenue between West Ferry and Lafayette, Buffalo.
Over 170 regional artists and craftsmen will have their wares displayed at the 9th annual event. Musical artists will be performing on several stages, including one at Lafayette, one in front of Wilson Farms and also at a dance tent besides the Unitarian Church. Buffalo Irish Festival
August 22-24, Hamburg Fairgrounds www.buffaloirish.com The event features continuous live music on four stages, kid’s activities, vendors, Irish food and of course Irish beer.


Lewiston Jazz Festival ( www.lewistonjazz.com) August 22-24.

The hottest ticket in town this summer is the Lewiston Jazz Festival, which will be taking place August 22-24. However, you won’t actually need a ticket, because all performances are free. The festival, a three day event, attracts over 30,000 people from all over western New York and Southern Ontario. It features over 140 musicians in 137 performances in restaurants pubs and various other locations, both indoors and out, along Center Street.
Friday evening’s concert will feature Blue Martini Jazz with Jeanine Mackie and Pat Perez. Saturday’s headliner will be New York City’s Mark Murphy, voted five times “The Best Male Jazz Singer of the Year” by Downbeat Magazine. Sunday’s concert will feature an afternoon performance by the Band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve at Lewiston Landing Park, overlooking the Niagara River.
