I have enjoyed articles published by fellow travel writer Deborah Williams for a number of years, but had never met her until I went to one of her book signings a few weeks ago. Her newly released book about the Erie Canal is very comprehensive and a must-have for history buffs and boaters alike. Published by the Countryman Press, who also published my book Western New York Explorer's Guide, the book takes you from Buffalo to Albany, offering history as well as attractions, lodging, restaurants and more along the way.
